“IVAN PL. ZAJC” CROATIAN NATIONAL THEATRE
The tradition of continuous theatre life in the city of Rijeka more than two centuries old. Rijeka’s theatre received the name Ivan Zajc in 1953. Since 1991 it has had the status of national theatre and the programme is presented through the activities of both Croatian and Italian drama, Opera and Ballet as well as concert activities.

CITY PUPPETS THEATRE
The Rijeka City Puppet Theatre was founded in 1960 and since then, thanks to a series of artists, threads successes to the joy of Rijeka's children. Since 1993 the theatre has been formed as the Rijeka City Puppet Theatre. Since February 1996, the City Puppet Theatre has been operating from the newly furnished space with 188 seats.

CROATIAN CULTURAL CENTRE
In one of the most attractive multi-purpose city areas is located at the Croatian Cultural Centre’s Theatre, association of theatre experts which started up in 1993 with a desire of presenting Rijeka with a, some way different, drama repertoire: Classics from 20th century which have not yet been played in the Croatian language in Rijeka and current drama hits from the world theatre scenes. The Croatian Cultural Centre's theatre is both the organizer and host of the International Festival of Small Scenes.

KALVARIJA CULTURAL CENTRE – RI TEATAR
Ri Teatar was founded in 2000 and is located in the areas of the Kalvarija Cultural Centre. Besides shows for children and adults and numerous theatre company hostings and tours, the Ri teatar organizes workshops, exhibitions and courses.
