ADRIA GUIDE - RIJEKA
 The
Rijeka tourist guide (Adria Guide - Rijeka) is a product
created by
Navigo Sistem
Ltd,
which is the main importer for GARMIN GPS navigator devices
for Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Serbia,
Montenegro and Kosovo, that has been created in
collaboration with the Rijeka Tourist Board as an official
guide for the city of Rijeka.
Adria Guide – Rijeka is an itinerary guide which can be
loaded into the GPS device and used for browsing information
and indicating interesting places within the city of Rijeka.
It is an electronic tourist guide that provides its users
with a detailed, simple, quick and clear visit of a variety
of interesting destinations. These destinations imply POI
(points of interest) that are interesting for different
types of users. Each point of interest includes a short
description, a photograph, a location with precise
coordinates and contact information (address, phone number,
fax, web and e-mail) as well as other necessary parameters
that we believe to be useful for users of this guide in
order to find sightseeing destinations alongside all the
necessary information about the destination itself. In order
to choose the relevant point of interest on the device, the
user can request that the device show all points of interest
on a map together with the easiest way to get there.
 The guide is simple to use on GPS devices, and includes 50
points of interest. These points are divided according to
categories. The main categories include: sightseeing,
entertainment, traffic, accommodation, sports centres, city
facilities, gastronomy and shopping. If, for example, you
are interested in the cultural parts of the city, you can
choose the “sightseeing” category and the device will show
you a list of points of interest, e.g. museums including
photographs and a text description where you will have the
possibility of discovering details about the museum, its
working hours and other useful information, and based on
this ensure that this particular point of interest fits in
with your visit to the city. By clicking the key on the GPS
device, you give an order to the device which will lead you
to the interest point by means of the GPS satellite system.
Using the same GPS device, you can select the GPS option to
your chosen destination either by car (the GPS will take you
to your destination being careful of permitted
thoroughfares, one way streets, pedestrian areas etc.) or by
foot (by directly taking the shortest route). The advantage
of this huge guide is that you choose the time of your tour
by yourself, and do not have to depend on anybody else
deciding which points of interest to visit and in which
order. The full guide supports a variety of languages so it
may be used by users from foreign countries. Adria Guide –
Rijeka has been created in the CROATIAN and ENGLISH
languages. If you set the English language as the default
language of your text on the GPS, the language of the guide
will automatically be set to English, and it works in the
same way for the Croatian language.
