City Museum

The building of the Maritime and Historical Museum is linked with the adjoining City Museum by an arcade sheltering a collection of stone monuments. This museum, previously Museum of National Revolution, is of relatively recent date, its activity focusing mainly on expositions of the city's present and past periods. Its holdings have significantly been increased by intense purchasing. The building itself, built in 1976 in the style reminiscent of Mondriani, was designed by the prominent Croatian architect N. Šegvić.
